SCPlayer — for distribution on Google Play
This Privacy Policy describes how Xinglan Wujie Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use SCPlayer on Android devices distributed through Google Play. SCPlayer is a local media player. The current version does not show ads, does not offer in-app purchases, does not require an account, and does not upload your media files or playback history to our servers.
The table below is intended to match our Google Play Console Data safety declarations for SCPlayer:
| Data type | Collected | Shared with third parties | Purpose | Required / Optional |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | Only if you send feedback email | Your email provider (not us selling data) | Customer support | Optional |
| Crash logs / diagnostics (device model, OS version, app version, screen size) | Only if included in feedback you send | No | Troubleshooting | Optional |
| Photos / videos / audio files | Read locally for playback only | No — not uploaded to our servers | App functionality | Required for playback (user-selected folders) |
| App activity (play progress, playlists, bookmarks, settings) | Stored on device only | No — not transmitted off device | App functionality | Required for features |
| Advertising ID (AAID) | No — not collected or used in the current version (ads disabled; AdMob not initialized) | No | — | — |
| Account / registration data | No | No | — | — |
| Location | No | No | — | — |
| In-app purchases | No — not offered in the current version (Billing SDK present but disabled) | No | — | — |
Data is encrypted in transit when you use HTTPS email or other secure channels. We do not sell personal information.
SCPlayer stores the following locally in app-private storage and does not automatically sync it to our servers:
You can clear playback history and playlists in Settings, or delete all local data by uninstalling the app.
SCPlayer does not scan your entire device storage. You choose folders through the Android Storage Access Framework (system folder picker). We only read media inside folders you explicitly grant access to, for listing and playback.
If you tap Feedback in Settings, your device may open an email client with a pre-filled message that can include app version, Unity runtime version, device model, operating system version, and screen resolution. You choose whether to send the email and what to write. We use this information only to respond to your request.
The current version of SCPlayer on Google Play does not display ads and does not use third-party analytics SDKs. We do not collect or use the Android Advertising ID (AAID) for advertising in the current version.
The app installation package includes Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) SDK components that may be enabled in a future release. In the current version, advertising is turned off in app settings: the AdMob SDK is not initialized, no ad requests are made, and no ad content is shown. Your media library, playback history, and bookmarks are not used for ad targeting.
If we enable ads in a future version, we will update this policy and the Google Play Console Data safety form before release, and we will comply with applicable consent requirements (including UMP for users in the EEA/UK where required).
SCPlayer uses the following permissions for playback and related features:
The installation package may also declare permissions required by bundled but currently disabled Google SDKs (for example, components related to Google Mobile Ads or Google Play Billing). In the current version these permissions are not used to show ads, deliver purchases, or collect the Advertising ID for advertising.
We do not request access to contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone recording, or precise location.
In the current version, SCPlayer does not actively connect to third-party ad networks or cloud account backends.
If we enable AdMob or in-app purchases in a future release, we will update this section and our Google Play Data safety declarations before that release.
Local app data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall SCPlayer. Support emails we receive are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and meet legal obligations.
Because SCPlayer has no online account, there is no server-side account profile to delete.
SCPlayer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us to request removal if you believe a child has contacted us with personal data.
We may update this policy and change the effective date above. Material changes may be communicated in-app or on the Google Play store listing.
